Some of the Key features of the BCFA Youth League is our focus on Player, Team and Club Development to give our young players the best footballing experiences possible.

To do this we look regularlary at the results of our non-competitve age groups (U7s to U11s) and move teams every 6 weeks into a more suitable division dependant upon their ability level based on their points per game ratio.

As agreed at the League AGM on 28th June 2023 member clubs voted unamiously to give the League Management Committee discretion to set the U13 constitution after a start of season round robin and make ammendments to the Constitution of our U12 to U18 Competitive Age Groups if a team was clearly in the wrong division after 3-4 matches.  As a League Committee we met last night and following recomendations from the relevant Fixture Secretarys have agreed the following constitution changes:

• U12s - Moved Intersport Youth U12 Sky and Harold Wood Cougars U12 Blacks from the U12 Premier to U12 Division 1 
  • Moved Boca Jogabanito U12 Shooters from U12 Division 2 to U12 Division 3

• U13s - Set up 7 new Divisions for the U13s Age Group (Premier, Championship, Div1, Div2, Div3, Div4 and Div5).  U13 Managers have been advised of this directly by email and the new tables are live on the FA Full Time Website.

• U14s - Moved Thurrock Tigers U14 from U14 Division 3 to U14 Division 4

Results from fixtures in their old leagues/groups have been voided and so no points will count in the league table from results in matches played against any of these teams up to and including 8th October 2023.

We hope the changes made will help give a competitive and enjoyable season to the teams moved and their opponents this season.
