Please find below an update on latest BCFA Youth League News......

Welcome to the League - Since the AGM we have welcomed several new clubs into the BCFAYL for the 2023/24 season in order to facilitate one of their teams to play competitive football this season.  Welcome to Canvey Island Youth FC, Diamond Youth FC, Great Notley Youth FC, Leys Park Youth FC, Newham & Havering Borough FC, New Level Soccer Youth FC, Rippleway AFC and Rush Soccer FC.

Divisional Changes - Early season results have been reviewed and teams have been moved into new divisons based on their results to date.  We have seen an increased number of requests for teams to move down and teams cancel playing fixtures with concern for facing a big loss.  In one case a team only played 1 league fixture in two months.  In order for us to place teams in the correct division we must build up a picture of their results and so please encourage your teams to play as many scheduled matches as possible.  No matter how we structure divisions, there will always be winners and losers and teams that finish bottom in a division.   The next planned Divisional changes for U8s to U11s will take place in late December.

 

League Cup Competition Update - League Cup Draws have been made for our U12s, U13s, u15s and U16 age groups and fixtures can be found in Full Time.  Info on our other age groups will be released soon along with Cup Final Dates & Venues which will be played at either Billericay FC, Hullbridge FC or Basildon Sports & Leisure on various dates across April and May.  Please note there are a few additional rules for our League Cup Competitions, and these can be found online here:  https://www.bcfa.leaguesystem.co.uk/website/news.php?newsid=55

 

Showing Squad List before KO: - Please can you remind all of your managers that it is compulsory for teams to have available a copy of their latest squad list before KO at every match.  This is for safeguarding reasons as well as ensuring only eligible players are playing and will help them avoid giving walkovers to opponents and incurring fines for clubs.  We have posted a reminder of this on our website here:  https://www.bcfa.leaguesystem.co.uk/website/news.php?newsid=56 

 

Postponement Process for Non-Competitive Matches - It is very frustrating to get a message from opponents the night before a match advising they haven't got enough players to play our scheduled match tomorrow.  To help avoid this and ensure as many of our players and teams available can play scheduled league matches we have introduced a new process for U9s, U10 and U11s postponing matches.  Please see here for more details: https://www.bcfa.leaguesystem.co.uk/website/news.php?newsid=50
