Team Squad List - Make sure you have yours available on Matchday....

Did you know that it is compulsory for teams to have available a copy of their latest squad list before KO at every BCFAYL match?  

This is for safeguarding reasons as well as ensuring only eligible players are playing and failure to comply with this rule could see your match being given as a walkover to the opponents and fines raised against your club.

To avoid either of these outcomes please make sure you always have your team sheet available on matchdays. 

If you turn up at a match and your opponent does not have an electronic or paper squad list to show you, the Leauge recommeneds you advise your opponents you are happy to play the match as a friendly and email the age group secretary before the match to advise of the situation and confirm you have communicated this to your opponents.  

For your reference below is a copy of League Rule 18Q and 18R that cover this point in the League Rules:

"Extract from the 2023/2024 BCFYAL League Rules:

18(Q) Teams must have with them at any game played under the management of the League, a current Player Registration System squad list as produced from their Club portal (Printed or electronic). Team managers are responsible for checking that all opposition players correctly appear on the opposition Squad List before the game commences. Any player that does not appear on the team Squad List shall not be permitted to participate in any game at any age group.

18(R) Team Managers must have with them at any game under the management of the League the Player Registration System Squad List.  Team Managers must exchange the Squad Lists prior to the fixture beginning, which are to be checked and returned up to 10 minutes after the game has ended.

Any Player found not to be on the authorised sheet must give their name to the opposition Manager who will report back to the relevant Registration Secretary after the match to verify the player’s registration. Clubs failing to carry out this part of the Rule shall be liable to a fine (in accordance with the Fines Tariff) and any further action deemed necessary by the Management Committee." 

Please note the maximum fine for playing an ineligilbe player in a BCFAYL League or Cup Match is £100.
